Setting the Captives Free

Setting the Captives Free

I've mentioned before about Cleansing Stream that the sun never sets on Cleansing Stream, it goes around the world, country after country - over 30 different countries - in 10 different languages and 7,000 churches. What a joy that is! Many times when I'm making those trips somebody later says, "Can I go with you on one of those trips?".

From Prayer to Intercession

From Prayer to Intercession

Isn’t it amazing that an all-powerful, all-knowing, all-present God who created the universe would pick ordinary people, you and me, to partner with Him in a dynamic prayer life? When we really stop and think about this, it is awe inspiring that our heavenly Father desires us to pray in agreement with Him.

Inheriting the Promises of Prayer

Inheriting the Promises of Prayer

I was driving through the cold and gusty winds of Colorado to the weekly prayer meeting I was leading. It was my favorite time of the week. This group of intercessors and I had been pressing into praying for the nations of the world. We saw dramatic answers to our prayers. Each week brought excitement and expectancy. We wondered how the Lord would lead. What would He speak and when would we see the answers?

2015 Fall Season Highlights

2015 Fall Season Highlights

Here is a look at some of the life changing testimonies we received this Retreat season:

"God has brought me into a closer relationship with him through Cleansing Stream.  I've been saved 33 years but I've carried hurts, fears, anger and so much more throughout the year.  It wasn't until entering the Cleansing Stream that I learned that I could and how to break free of that bondage.  I would definitely want to be part of this awesome, God-anointed ministry."

Knowing the Father

Knowing the Father

Everything Jesus did was because of His direct relationship to the Father. In like manner, He wants us to have the Father’s wisdom and guidance in our thoughts, feelings, decisions, and actions.

God is a romantic at heart. The God who created you is the One who fashioned you to love the way you do. You didn’t develop friendship and romantic desires because you thought it may be something you would like. God gave you those emotions and desires. Everything about love came directly from God and is maintained in Him. Andrew Murray wrote concerning Jesus, “His life of dependency on the Father was a life in the Father’s love.” (Murray, Andrew: Abiding in Christ. Bethany House Publishers, Minneapolis, Minnesota, 2003.)

God’s passionate love focuses much on family. Jesus often spoke of Him as a Father. All of the best that an earthly father could ever offer to his children originated in God—and so much more.

Things & Others

Things & Others

People constantly strive for possessions—more stuff, better stuff, bigger stuff. In this quest to have material things, they can allow the desire for things to distract from their commitment to the Lord. Thankfully, Jesus gave the answer to the problem.

Matthew 6:25-34: “Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature?

Deliverance - Ministry Environment

Deliverance - Ministry Environment

“And the evil spirit answered and said, ‘Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are you?’” (Acts 19:15). Demons understand authority. Without accountability there is no authority. Accountability empowers authority by establishing unity. Our authority comes from the Father through Jesus Christ. Our accountability is to the Holy Spirit in obedience to God’s Word. And our unity with one another is through the blood of Jesus. Within the local church all must be accountable to pastoral leadership. Apart from that, chaos ensures. To have a successful deliverance ministry, those who are involved must be accountable to spiritual authority.

Deliverance - Covering, Teaching, & Training

In any church, for deliverance ministry to have success it must have the full support of the senior pastor. This ministry cannot be placed in the hands of those who seek to build their own little kingdoms. For all the great benefits that come from legitimate deliverance, it can also attract the weird and the wacky, giving deliverance a bad reputation. The pastoral leadership must heed the scriptural admonition, “Recognize those who labor among you, and are over you in the Lord and admonish you,” (1 Thess. 5:12, NKJV).
